Hi, I’m Julia Schofield, a therapist and co-founder of Sol & Soma Collective. I work with adults, couples, and families who are navigating anxiety, trauma, relationship challenges, ADHD, self-esteem, life transitions, and patterns that feel difficult to shift.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and trauma-informed. I believe therapy should offer both insight and practical support — a space where you can better understand yourself, process difficult experiences, and develop tools to move through life with more clarity, confidence, and self-trust. I strive to offer a culturally responsive and affirming space where clients’ identities, lived experiences, and values are respected and thoughtfully held.

I draw from approaches including EMDR, somatic therapy, IFS/parts work, CBT, DBT, and attachment-based therapy. In our work together, we may explore how past experiences, nervous system responses, relationships, and protective patterns are shaping the way you feel and respond in the present.

I aim to create a space that feels grounded, compassionate, and real. My hope is that therapy helps you feel less alone in what you’re carrying, more connected to your own needs and values, peace and contentment, and more able to create meaningful change in your life.

Outside of my work as a therapist, I enjoy music, travel, reading, being near the water, spending time with friends and my two cats, and enthusiastically losing at pub trivia. I’m drawn to creativity, design, humor, curiosity, and the small everyday moments of connection that help life feel more meaningful.

Sliding Scale & Community Care
Sliding Scale sessions are available to private pay clients, please contact admin@SolandSomacollective.com for more information. I also reserve a limited number of community care spots at a further reduced rate for clients experiencing financial hardship or barriers to care. This reflects my commitment to making therapy more accessible, particularly for clients from marginalized communities. At this time, these spots are currently full, though clients may inquire about future availability.

Good Faith Estimate
Clients who are not using insurance have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate explaining the expected cost of services. This will be provided upon request and/or as required prior to beginning services.

In-Network Providers

I am currently in-network with the following insurance plans:

Blue Cross Blue Shield

Blue Choice

Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield

Aetna

Cigna

UnitedHealthcare

Insurance Coverage & Benefit Check

We will complete a benefits check prior to beginning sessions. However, coverage and benefits can vary by plan and may change over time, so clients are encouraged to contact their insurance provider directly for the most up-to-date information regarding copays, deductibles, coinsurance, and any plan-specific requirements.

Out-of-Network Coverage

For clients with out-of-network benefits, superbills are available upon request and may be submitted to your insurance provider for possible partial reimbursement. Reimbursement varies by plan and is not guaranteed, so clients are encouraged to contact their insurance provider directly for the most accurate information about out-of-network benefits.
